Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick und das kann man nicht erklären. That was love at the first sight and one cannot explain it. One should experience it him/herself. Music, that's what I am talking about and would be in the ensuing Musings.

Today, I was wandering, alone as always, on the banks of river Elbe at Landungsbrücken (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/landungsbrücken) and Yanni's 'One Man's Dream' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubTveCihjoQ) wandering in my ear. It is not wit
h any reason that I start this episope with his music but it is just a sample from my days- immersed in Music. Today it happens to be this piece.
It wasn't one of those chilly and rainy days- for which Hamburg is quite notorious for. But rather Sunny and Sweet. Cold breeze swept my face as the Strings wafted along the slowly drifting Piano keys. It was a dream and it was reality that I was experiencing and I was alone. The boat has just left the banks, the Sun slowly sank down the horizon. The streaks of golden luster sparkled like a diamond, sprinkling some hope on the dreams of a solitary soul. This mo
ment should last for eternity for there is nothing that's more beautiful and wonderful. A perfect unison of Nature and Music. Seagulls gently floating on the sky, complementing the Cellos. Spongy clouds with golden ruffles around them, the golden rays beamed towards zenith and the String ensemble touched climax. It only means that my dreamy world has come to an end. I was still ambling a pace or two behind the Piano keys.
I was now back on the U-Bahn towards my sweet home. Now only the reflections of those moments remain. But then it would come back to me when I would listen to the piece again. For there is Tomorrow- for me to catch on, there is Dream- for me to drift on, and then there is Music- for me to muse and cling on to and forever. And it is not just any Man's Dream but mine.

PS: Later on this day, I composed this Piano piece titled 'A Lonely Lane...', hope you would enjoy the composition despite the bad recording!

Hey man you are back!! Coming after 2.5 years...you have learnt a lot of words. Keep learning and keep posting.
And DON"T forget to leave comment on my blog, if and when you visit.
(Btw, don't you see any girls in your dreams...be frank ;)
Your composition is very good. After all thees years I am seeing light :)
But it tends to become repetitive (surely you have noticed this). Are you plannnig on laying a siege to Vienna?
Yeah, I know but I am only glad that I have managed to have a hang of it :-) Vienna is a distance dream.
Very much a worthy dream...
The composition is also pretty good. The recording definitely better than the last ones :-)
I found one thing interesting. I could listen to the piece as if it was in C minor or in G minor Phrygian mode (raga sindhu bhairavi). The more I listen I feel it is more naturally G minor. Am I right?
I have improved that composition, tuned little bit. But no time to record, exam time you know! 'll record later.
It is in natural C minor. But then isn't the key signature of natural C minor and G Phrygian mode are same? [C D E_flat F G A_flat B_flat]. I cannot but all the time remain amused and wondered by your sharp ears :-) Did you ever try recognizing a perfect pitch?
Yes, the key signature is the same. It's just what you feel is the base key. I noticed that the G minor chord was more frequent in the composition. So, tried listening as if G was the base key and suddenly you have bhairavi! Wonderful feeling :-)
Absolute pitch is pretty rare. I can only do relative pitch.
well, i 'played' a little with my left hand perhaps that changes it all ;-)
But I feel that there is some thing big that's lacking- missing..i am not able to find out, but i know that there's something....do you know/ find what is it?
